Well I loved your style here, but the mixing issues are a big takeaway from this. The snare doesnt pop like it should for this genre/style, the kick is drowned out, and there is a lot of things happening in the same frequency spectrum.

overall great song!

good luck in the nguac!

AWW MAN I wrote this long review as I was listening to your track and forgot to submitted it before i closed the tab!

This is long. Like. REALLY long. like. WAY TOO LONG. BUT, there are totally plenty of people who can appreciate all that was put into a long song, as long as it's done well.

That being said. I said here for 15 minutes and thoroughly enjoyed every damn moment of this song.

The length is honestly the only big thing here, other than that i have very little to say about this.

This. Is. Awesome.

PS. DUDE sell your samples and presets! I LOVE your sounds.

also hook me up with some xD

I love verything about this piece. I love the style. Effects, loved the very 80's Guitar vs Synth solo section. 10/10 would see live again.

Mixing great. Variations great, form great. Its all great.

well done!

Good luck in the Nguac!

Yes. Very old school skrillex.
For this genre and style. well done.

However the problem I have with this genre, which quickly got me out of interest in this particular style of EDM, is its lack of variation. It is natural for the style, and has me dazing off non attentively quickly. In order for this genre to sell for me, it needs variation, make the scond drop more intense, different, whatever you choose to do.

You snare sounded AWESOME. That is important. however it needed some sidechain to pop evenmore i think.

other than that, great track!

Good luck in the NGUAC!

Man.

Ceevro.

This is good., ugh so much soul. If I at all was able to compose for guitar (which hopefully will change in the future) This is like, exactly the style I Imagine. I even have this thing I jam out to that is very similar.

I LOVE the main "hook" or whatever you want to call it. The rhythm, everything about it.

I really wanted to hear a bit of variation. But it was still so good.

You need some better recording equipment. That room noise and high end recording hiss is holding you back man. this . is. greaet.

Well done.

Good luck in the Nguac

Ceevro responds:

Sadly, my equipment is good. My space, however, is not. I need a way to separate my computer from my mic while still being able to use both...it's hard, being both the recording engineer AND the musician at the same time!

I have a few idea, but they cost more money than I can spend at the moment. I think I should try to limit myself to electric guitar in future rounds...though I'd lose ALL the acoustic percussion that I love doing so much.

Dang....never an easy way. 'Tis the lot of the musician!

Great overall song!

I loved your direction and vibe. and I loved your piano.

Now your drums just felt and sounded a bit off. This can be heavily in part due to your mixing of them, as well as your choice of sample, however I feel with some different multiband compression, some equing, maybe some saturation, the drums wouldve sounded much better. Also keep in mind to compress after the room. or rather, compress after some SLIGHT reverb, to get the sound of real drums. Most wouldnt compress after reverb, but you want the room sound to be in there to sound natural. there are many videos on this expaining it much better than I do ahah.

over all really great! Good luck in the NGUAC!

I love the over all vibe of this. as a soundtrack piece, this is awesome.

I have a feeling with the, flute? piccolo? unsure, that you were going for a very distant effect, which is used in orchestral music often. I loved the direction, however the mixing on the reverb was a little off, it just didnt quite have the right kind of reflections or SOMETHING about the reverb was just off, and it was way too drowned. BUT I still loved it. This gave me a very "interstellar" Hans zimmer vibe, i quite liked it. I was hoping for some harmonic variation, but overall, great pice.

Good luck in the NGUAC!

Your review was concise but thorough. I appreciate the feedback tremendously. A comparison to Hans Zimmer means a lot by the way :D Also, I've never been the best with mixing and reverb. But anyways, thanks again for your honest review.

WOW. Your sounds are awesome. I seriously want your library. Im stuck in this pit of basic VST's and I can only do SO much with them. This was a great composition and man that oboe, Those VOICES. SO GOOD. Very little to say negatively about this

Well done. Good luck!

Azhthar responds:

Hey! Thanks a lot for the nice feedback! Glad you liked it.

Ah man. This one is really hard to judge without a SUPER biased opinion. Future bass will always have a HUGE soft spot in my heart. It is the genre I almost ALWAYS stick to when writing. I just love it.

THAT BEING SAID> I am able to judge it pretty harshly as well, since I am just ALL OVER THIS GENRE.

That being said. I am super jealous of your gear. Man I need better VST'S and samples. Your sounds are just. UGH. WHAT I WANT IN MY LIFE.

THAT being said. this was awesome. Great mixing, great rhythmic style, very Seven Lions meets FUTURE. Lots of Nuance. Love it. Great change up and crisp sound in the second verse.

Would've loved to hear something different happen in the second drop. But meh that doesnt always work in the genre. So It great.

Honestly this is great. I Look forward to your future entries.

Good luck!!

8-bitheroes responds:

Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed it! Future bass <3

SO I love the design on your bass sound. And I love the automation you did on it. GREAT mixing, Great overall vibe.

All that being said, your choice in snare sample (or if you designed it) is a very loose snare. Its very clear, sounds good, BUT for this style, it just doesnt fit. It clashes too much. I feel this REALLY needed a MUCH tighter snare. The bells were a pretty cool sound, but after a while a little overused. My ear really wanted to hear a solidified melody, the bells ended up just feeling and sounding like an arp after so long. SO YEA. Great overall though!

Good luck in the NGUAC!
